The True Meaning of Fail
I love the quote from Kyle Rote Jr. when he says, “There is no doubt in my mind that there are many ways to be a winner, but there is really only one way to be a loser and that is to fail and not look beyond the failure.” Isn’t that the truth, far too often failure is looked at as the end of the road, the point in which you stop but let’s look at what the word fail means – fail – First Attempt In Learning.
Some may say that they have failed at something many times but, if with each attempt there is something different even a minor change it is the first attempt at that method. If we did not make some type of change that is a completely different word that we can use and that is insanity, you know, trying the same thing over and expecting a different result.
Edison tool over a thousand failed attempts with changes to his lightbulb until suddenly the bright idea came to fruition. With each attempt there was a learning. Edison like many other great inventors and leaders tried, failed, evaluated, learned, and reengaged until success.
To be successful first you need to attempt, you need to put yourself out there, to learn, fail, learn some more. Success may come quickly or it may take some time; there are many things we cannot control but the one thing that is known without question regardless of what you want to achieve in life, there is no success without the attempt and if the attempt is unsuccessful, you have a choice to lose or to look beyond lose, to learn and eventually to gain the success you desire.
